High Efficiency Furnace, Natural Gas Boiler & Boiler Circulator Pump Rebates

Warm up to High-Efficiency Heating

Reduce your home heating costs with a high-efficiency furnace or natural gas boiler. You’ll enjoy clean, reliable heat and receive a rebate of up to $750 when you install a qualifying natural gas, oil or propane furnace or a natural gas boiler.

Achieve efficiencies as high as 97 percent

In most homes, heating is the single biggest energy expense. Replacing your old furnace, boiler or boiler circulator pump with new high-efficiency heating equipment can take a bite out of your energy costs, plus make your home more comfortable.

A furnace or boiler's efficiency is measured by annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) which tells you what percent of fuel is converted to useful heat for your home. The higher the AFUE, the more heat you get for your heating dollar. Older furnace and boiler systems have efficiencies in the range of 56 to 70 percent. High-efficiency heating systems achieve efficiencies as high as 97 percent, converting nearly all the fuel to useful heat for your home.

For more information on high efficiency systems please visit the U.S. Department of Energy website. The site also features an easy-to-use table showing what you could save when you upgrade to an energy-efficient system.

Before you invest in a new furnace, boiler, or boiler circulator pump make your home as energy efficient as possible. Improving insulation and sealing air leaks to stop heat loss may allow you to purchase a smaller, less expensive heating system. Our Home Energy Solutions program can help you identify and make energy-saving improvements that are right for your home.

How We Help

Energize Connecticut can help with rebates of $100 to $750 from the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund to offset the cost of installing a qualifying high-efficiency heating system.

Steps to Take Smart Energy Action

Step 1 -

Contact your heating and cooling contractor to find out if a high-efficiency warm air furnace, natural gas boiler or a boiler circulator pump makes sense for your home. Ask if they have done an efficiency test on your existing system and how it rated.

For a list of heating systems that qualify for rebates* and a rebate application, click the link to your utility’s website below:

Step 2

Make your home more energy efficient to get the most out of a new heating system. Get started with help from the Home Energy Solutions program.

Step 3

Select the brand and model you want to install. Your contractor will help you select the right unit for your specific needs. Before you buy, read the rebate application (found on your utility’s website) and program requirements carefully.

Step 4

After your unit is installed, submit your completed application with your contractor’s invoice listing the purchase date and the make and model numbers. Also include the AHRI certificate documenting that your system was tested under AHRI test conditions or the AFUE rating and your most recent electric and/or gas utility bill.

*Instant Distributor Rebates Now Available: Check if your contractor’s equipment quote already includes the rebate. HVAC equipment distributors can now automatically apply the Energize CT rebate to the price they charge your contractor for qualified equipment, eliminating the need for a mail-in rebate for that unit.  Simply ask your contractor if the rebate will be applied automatically or if you need to submit a rebate application through the mail. Multiple rebates for the same unit (equipment serial number) will not be accepted.

Who is Eligible?

Residential customers of C&P, UI, CNG, SCG or Yankee Gas are eligible to participate.
