Multi-Family

Save Energy Throughout Your Multi-Family Building’s Apartments and Common Areas
The multi-family building you own may be eligible for energy-efficiency upgrades through more than one program. This one-stop program brings them all to your door, making it easy for you to save energy.

An Holistic Approach for Multi-Family Energy Efficiency

Improving energy efficiency throughout a multi-family building benefits all tenants.

In a multi-family facility, each tenant’s energy consumption impacts the entire building. Poor insulation in an upper unit will affect the energy use of the unit below. Air leaks from ductwork, pipe and cable chases, gaps and cracks often run throughout the entire building, creating drafts in apartments and hallways.

With incentives and financing resources (when eligible), the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund empowers you to make energy-saving improvements The Multi-Family Initiative gives owners and managers of these buildings access to multiple energy-efficiency solutions through a utility program administrator. Both electric and natural gas efficiency measures are considered for tenant living areas and common areas.
