As part of its Family Night Series, students and families are invited to explore and express their creative side during the Energize Connecticut Center’s Family Paint Night with local artist Cindy Stevens on Friday, May 19.
The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Center, 122 Universal Drive North, North Haven (next to Panera Bread in the Target Plaza.) It is free of charge and open to the public.
During the evening’s activities, Stevens will guide guests as they create their own unique piece of artwork. “Regardless of your skill level, the event is designed to be enjoyable with an emphasis on learning about the environment and encouraging each individual’s art expression,” said Stevens. Light refreshments will be served for families to enjoy while painting. Adults and children are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring along a shirt to wear as a smock.
A Connecticut native, Stevens comes from a family of artists. She owns Snow’s Block Frame Gallery and an art studio in Clinton, Conn. where she hosts Paint Night parties and Kids Art classes. She is a member of the Paint and Clay Club in New Haven, the Guilford Art League, the Madison Art Society and the Clinton Art Society.
